Rain, Rain, Go Away!

This weekend has been one of consequential rain. It was predicted that we were going to get about 3 inches of rain. It wouldn't surprise me if we got at least that. The rivers, creeks, water falls, holding ponds, and even the lake are up quite a bit. Thankfully, we have not seen flooding.

It's a cold day at the lake. The wind is blowing (although not majorly)enough to make it cool enough to be comfortable in jeans and a sweatshirt. (Hopefully this is not a sign of what is to come with our fall!) We are so glad we had a chance to enjoy the lake on Friday! Today is not really the kind of day one would prefer to be in the lake...at least Seneca Lake because it is the deepest and coldest of the finger lakes.

School starts for us on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to our oldest being back in school. She's ready to be back with her friends and learning. It will also create routine, less stress between siblings, and the opportunity to allow one on one time with our youngest. I will start preschool with her. It should be fun. I'm a bit nervous about it, but she's very ready to learn. She's so excited too.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, our forcast looks like plenty more rain. I think I'll go on outside and enjoy what I can of this "non-raining" moment.
