Painting the Master Bedroom

In keeping with tradition, Phil tries to pain a room each time he's on extended vacation. This time, after much cajoling, he made the choice to paint our room. We have talked colors since last summer when we became official owners of this house, but never been able to find what we wanted or what looked good.

We chose Valspar's Shoreline Mist which turned out more baby blue then silver blue and Sun Hat which is as Phil described to Lilly "a dirty yellow" compared to the hall. It's now 2:15 on Friday and he's almost done. The walls are painted, one complete batch of trim is done, and he's just waiting until 3 so he can paint the last coat. (it's pouring here...just thought I'd mention it)

We also decided that we would redo our closet, thanks to some FANTASTIC deals at Home Depot which is closing it's doors for good in 10 days. Here are pictures to show our progress - some show the mess, please excuse it due to "renovations"!

This is a shot of the closet before the shelving unit was completely put together, but gives a good view of the yellow.

This shot gives a perspective with the Shoreline Mist color and the not completed trim.

Perspective on the colors - note: Phil says they are the most perfectly straight corners he's ever done!

A different corner shot.

Pardon this slight interruption ... Daddy's tired.

The closet - more put together...seems there is more room for "stuff" or less stuff. Not sure which.
