A Scare

We arrived in NY about 6:30 pm on Saturday night. We had a safe trip and are enjoying our time in NY. It was nice seeing so many people in church yesterday. I've made plans to catch up with a few friends besides the one I spent time with last night. I really love catching up in person.

Last night about 11:45, we received a phone call from my Grandparent's neighbors from Nebraska. My Grandpa Dave fell on ice sometime yesterday. He was unable to get up to get help, therefore he spent about 4 hours outside in the -2 degree weather until my grandma found him. She is not well, but knew enough to head to a neighbors to get help. An ambulance took him to the hospital and the neighbors followed behind with Grandma.

He didn't break anything, but he has some bruising. He has an abrasion on his eye, and there have been temperature stabilization issues due to being out in the cold so long.

Please pray for both of them. Grandma is not well or able to care or herself so she is staying at the hospital too. It seems she is a lot of work too because she is unable to remember very well.
