She has a name!

After 24 hours, she finally gained a name. The girls chose Smokey. That is the same name our friends the Shellhaas's cat. We threw around a bunch of names including Cali, Smokey, Sam, Tiger (the name of Stripey's sister who died in 1993), and a couple of others I can't think of. Smokey won out.

Part of the rules of adoption from Art in Motion Pet Shop was that we had to take the cat to the vet within 4-5 days, so I took her in to Kem Rd and had her first exam. She is in excellent condition and weighs 1.5 pounds! Dr. Ratcliff thought she was cute...so did the girls in the office. As I was waiting for the dr to come in, I had Smokey walking around my shoulders. We walked over to the small window in the door to look out. Smokey had everyone laughing. They thought it was really cute and funny that she was walking around on my shoulders and look out the window.

She's adjusting well. We've now had her for over a week. She's learning...sometimes more slowly than we would prefer.

Today was a really nice day, so we had the back patio door open w/ the screen shut. Smokey loved it. She was eating leaves, sniffing the air, jumping around, and enjoying it emensly.

Here are a few shots of her. I love getting unique shots of Smokey.

You knew she'd have to be a Pampered Chef lover, right?

This is where I found her tonight! Katy's going to eat it up and love attempting to push her around in the stroller.

She even took a bath upside down in the stroller tonight!
