Still alive

I'm back among the land of the living. It's been 10 days since I posted anything. Life has been very busy. I participated in The Taste of Marion - a fair on the IWU campus - mainly geared toward students to let them know that the different businesses exist. I also participated in First Friday in downtown Marion. The Taste of Marion has been a fantastic boost for my PC calendar. I currently have 8 shows on my calendar for October. This is where I want to be with my business. I'm very excited about this.

What else is going on? We got to meet our friend Jeremy's new dog. His name is Niko. He's really cute. (the dog...) No dogs in our future though. Stripey won't tolerate it. I'm not much of a dog fan myself. Phil grew up with dogs, so I'm sure it will happen at some point, but... The girls had fun playing with Niko. We're glad Niko didn't die like his siblings. Niko was very sick for a few days. He seems much better now.

School is going well. Most days Katy is very agreeable to doing her school work. She had the opportunity to join the kindergarten class at Lilly's school for the afternoon. I spent the day on Friday from the time school started until about half an hour before it ended painting the curbs at school. They had a need to have yellow safety paint on all the curbs in the circle at school. I painted all day and still have at least another day of painting to go. It looks much better and is much safer, but I do need to make the time to get in there and finish the job. Anyway, back to Katy...she spent the morning playing outside on the playground, helping me, and enjoying the kids who came out for recess. In the afternoon, she was given the opportunity to enjoy being with the kids who stay for the enrichment program. She was thrilled by this and asked (on the way home), "Mommy, when do you need to go paint again?" When asked why, "I want to go back again." She really enjoyed it.

A family date...Friday night, we all went to Noblesville to enjoy an evening together. We ate at my favorite restaurant ...Olive Garden...and shopped at Castleton Mall. We did really well. We enjoyed dinner and spent quite a bit of time at the Eddie Bauer store. Phil needed clothes. We found some. I had purchased a pair of jeans on Tuesday from Eddie Bauer that fit (and felt) wonderfully.
This is the first pair of "NEW" jeans I can remember purchasing since I was in college. Note: It isn't like I haven't had new jeans, I have just done really well with Goodwill, garage sales, and other places. Phil was excited to get clothes that fit well too.

Tomorrow night, I start facilitating a study for women who have moved. It's based on the book "After the Boxes are Unpacked, Moving on after Moving in".
It looks like I'll probably have 3 or 4 women. I'm excited about this class, but nervous too. If you'd like to find out more about this book or class, visit www.justmoved.org.

I'm sure there is more that I could write about, but I need to get headed toward bed. Tomorrow is a big day.

Lisa, I went through a Bible study based on this book years ago. Good stuff! Best wishes as you begin this study! God will richly bless you!
