Chocolate lab?

Quite some time ago, we were having a discussion at the dinner table about dogs. Phil really wants a dog, but our cat Stripey will not tolerate any other animals. The girls are very against getting a dog. (I'm not really interested either.)

Anyway, Phil mentioned getting a chocolate lab. Katy started crying. When we asked her why she was crying, she said, "I can't have a chocolate lab. I'm allergic to it."

When we realized what she was saying, we couldn't help but chuckle. We had to explain to her that the dog wasn't chocolate...it was just what the color (brown) was called when it referred to the dog.
