Tomorrow's the Day!

In just 14 hours, we'll be sitting in closing on our house! After all this time, it's hard to believe that it will finally be ours! Although we have already started personalizing it, this will definitely make it official. The "rich" feeling of having $ in the bank from closing our NY house, will quickly disappear! That's ok. (in some respects!) It will be worth celebrating.

There have been many moments in the last week, that I have wondered if it would be worth celebrating because I've missed NY, family, and friends so much, but I know that this is BECOMING our home here, and God keeps providing opportunities to build friendships and strengthen my trust in Him.

Although I will likely never stop missing NY, I'm learning to like IN. I'm learning to reach out, make the effort to introduce myself (even when I don't want to), and learning that the other person is likely feeling the exact same way at that moment too! I've learned that it can be possible to make IN feel like home too. It will never replace NY, but it can add to it and deepen it and most of all grow us even more. It is making us into better, stronger people. (That's good, right?! It doesn't always feel that way!)

I can't wait to share the story of our closing tomorrow. I sure hope we don’t have any issues like last week’s closing.
