The Painting Begins

Last night we started painting. It started with a gray primer coat on the 2 walls where we'll have dark maroon kind of color (can you tell I'm not the one who picks out colors!).

Here are a couple of shots of the prep work of taping up and getting ready...moving furniture, etc.

The next step is the primer. The primer is a gray color designed to help pull out the dark color in the paint without having to do 6 coats. These shots are with 1 layer of primer. There are now 2. They are not drying as they start the other color.

The next step, which is well underway, is the yellow color. I think I might get a job naming paint colors because it sounds like an interesting job to sit and dream up color names all day. This paint is called Fioli Yellow.

Phil is doing a lot of the cutting in while Jeremy does the rolling. It's going quite well. Jeremy receives high praise from perfectionist Phil! I don't even get that, so he's doing really well! Phil only has 1 other person he chooses to paint with. That is Jan Wenck.
