A funny story…the other day as I was getting ready to head for the shower after my workout, Katy ran down the hall to the bathroom and said, “You can’t come in.” That to me is a scary statement. So, I allowed her to have a few minutes in there, knowing she wasn’t going to the bathroom. I heard water running, and lots of noise, so I finally had to ask her what she was doing. She told me she was trying to surprise me by cleaning the sink. (This is the first time she has ever done this. Her sister does it now and then, but Katy has never taken the initiative on her own to do it.)
So, after she finished, she decided she wanted to take a bath. That’s when she told me the cutest, funniest thing.
“Mommy.”
“Yes?”
“I’m not going to go to Kindergarten.”
“Oh? You’re not? Why?”
“Well, you need a lot of help and if I go, you won’t have anyone to help you.”
I laughed, than thanked her. Then said, “Well, we’ll see. Daddy and I haven’t made a decision whether we are going to home school or if you’ll go to school with your sister.”
It was definitely a priceless moment.
