Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh my!
Today I helped chaperone a school (just the elementary) field trip to the Indianapolis zoo. We had a lot of fun. We filled a bus and 2 vans. We had a great day. We were able to see almost everything we wanted. The one big bummer is that we were 4 days too early to see the new Oceans exhibit. It is supposed to be really cool and opens this weekend. Oh well. I won't be going back for a while since I hate to deal with huge crowds. I'll wait for a month or 2 before I decide to go "fight" the crowds.
We also did not get to watch the walrus underwater because he broke the glass (this happened before the last time we were there, and they had a leak, but we were still able to see him then). They had it closed off to get it fixed. We also didn't get to see the polar bear since he was hiding in his cave.
I've attached several pictures so you can see about our day. I think the highlight for me was the butterfly exhibit. I did like the butterfly garden in Niagara Falls, ON. better, but this was still neat.
