The Ultimate Blog Party

I was invited by a friend to visit www.5minutesformom.com and check out the Ultimate Blog Party. 5 minutes for mom is a great place to meet other moms, find blogs of other moms, support mom owned businesses, see mom run websites, and win FREE prizes. If you know me at all, I'm all about a good deal...especially if it's free!

Here's what you need to do...follow the following information. Ultimate Blog Party It will take you there.

When you have a party, you usually have food, so I'm offering popcorn (the buttery kind) and I still have 1 oreo left, but you'd better hurry because they are my favorite and I'm about to stop typing and grab it before anyone else has a chance to touch it (I"m pretty territorial about my food...especially if it is Oreos or Peanut Butter Cups.) I know that to be a good host, you really need to share, but it's almost 10 pm, and I really don't want to run downt the street (it's literally down the street...and quicker to walk then find a parking spot!) and get more. So I hope you'll understand that I did enjoy them for you!

What else do we need for a party? Noise? Not here. The kids are sleeping and my husband is watching a TV show, so not much noise here, sorry. If it's quiet you seek, hurry!

Drinks...will water work? Wait, I have lemonaid, Black Cherry Vanilla Coke, milk, and apple juice too. That means there is plenty of choice.

Dressing up? NO way. I'm all for casual. Come as you are...I'm in my pajamas and slippers.

Bring something with you? Yep. An attitude of fun. That is always good. Your listening ears and talking heart. Those are great when developing a friendship. Well, ok...if you insist, you can bring me some Peanut Butter Cups. You'll be my friend for sure! (It's kinda like when you pet a dog or scratch a cat's ears...you are their friend for life then.) Bring Jesus on your countenance too. That really draws me to people.

I'm not going to put up streamers, make a cake (I really am trying to watch what I eat even though I talk about junk food), or even make a big to-do about cleaning because to me, a get together of friends is not about how clean my house is (although it would be great if it were clean for you) or how organized my kids toys are...it's about getting to know one another and having fun doing it. Sharing stories, learning where we are from and where we are going, and laughing.

So, come on it and join the party.

Your party sounds fabulous ... just my kind - no worries about everything being just perfect and getting relax. Of course when I throw a party, I am frantic about it! I need to take lessons on relaxing! LOL!
