More on the NY House

Here's the latest scoop: We received a call on Thursday that the inspection on our NY house went through with flying colors. THANK YOU so much for your prayers. This is huge. Our house is 107 years old, so you just never know. Our realtor said that she has not had a house pass with flying colors (let alone pass) in 3 months! She said, "Those prayers we have been praying must really have been working!” she also told us that they have received the commitment letter from our buyer's bank, so things are moving on and headed for a target closing of May 30 (or before). Now we have to hope that the assessment happens quickly and that the lawyers move on the paperwork. It is very exciting. I am also scheduled to meet with our mortgage agent here to get the process rolling to close here. I would like to close here on May 30 too, but I am not sure if that is possible. I'll find out Tuesday, I hope. It has been a good week. Phil and I have been able to think more about what we want here and how we would like for our yard to look in the future. Where we want to put things we dream of having. We have also spent time this last week playing catch with the new football. I bought the girls a kickball because I felt it was time for them to learn this childhood favorite.

Summer vacation (at least being done with school for the girls) is rapidly approaching. Lilly has 15 days of school left and Katy has about 3. It is exciting and yet scary all in the same moment! I'll have a second grader and a kindergartener! How did this happen? It seems such a short time ago they were still toddlers at home with me.
