Ultimate Tasting

Tonight we were invited to join Phil's boss's family at their house for a fantastic home prepared dinner by a fellow Professor. It was a truly authentic Chinese meal. We had 7 courses, I think...I lost track, as they were all SO good. Phil's response...a cheesy smile on his face for the next couple of days.

We had deep fried pork, boiled chicken done with a variety of Chinese spices "Not found at Wal-mart!” several dishes with potatoes, a dessert of sweet potatoes with a glaze on them (like Krispy Kreme Donuts), a bean and beef dish (I think my favorite), and there were 2 different eggplant dishes - one breaded and fried with beef in the middle and one with miracle whip on top.

Then, we topped it all of with a Key Lime pie - definitely not a Chinese dish!

Wow. My taste buds loved it. I only wish my cold hadn't been quiet so bad! I would have been able to enjoy even more.

All I can say is "THANK YOU" for the invitation!
