Today, my mom was here again and we got quite a bit packed. I think we packed a total of about 10 boxes all total today. You know it's getting closer when I actually allow my Pampered Chef stones to get packed. Tonight we packed up the fish tank, stones, and I packed stuff from the linen closet - meds we won't be needing. In 2 weeks, our truck should be mostly loaded by this time (hopefully done) - 9:50 pm. There's a lot to do between now and then. I'm trying to pack each day and find things I can live without to pack. It's getting a bit tough to do that because so much is packed. Most of our clothes are packed, but I have left enough so that we don't have to be streakers!!! LOL!
I've been working to figure out who I want to spend time with before we leave, who we need to make sure we say goodbye to, and who we need to connect with for a play date. I have promised the girls a play date with our oldest's best friend Anna. That is one of those things that cannot be forgotten or missed. It's just too important.
I've been working to make sure that everyone who needs to be notified of the move is, and utilities are being taken care of too. There are so many details to think about. We’ve never moved like this as a family. We moved 10 minutes, but not 10 hours. Then, I had to contact the vet to get sedatives for the cat so I don’t have to listen to her complain for 10 hours. I think I would croak if I had to do that. Then there is the situation of needing to feed and water her, and the potty issue, but I am not putting a litter box in my van, nor am I going to put my now inside cat on a leash only to have her freak out and not go anyway. Oh, the things you must think of!
Time to head up. ER’s on tonight. We missed it last week, but not tonight. I can eat my ice cream, snuggle down in my bed, and head off to sleep after ER and the news. I always try to watch the news…gotta know what’s going on in the world! Guess that’s what happens from being a Newsie. They say that once it’s in your blood, it’s always there. I believe it.
